A Story of Survival, Sobriety, and the Strength It Takes to Choose Yourself

The Sink in the Litter Box

My Journey Through Addiction, Truth, and the Life That Waited on the Other Side

The Sink in the Litter Box is a raw, unfiltered memoir about the darkest moments that nearly took my life—and the unexpected light that pulled me back. From a childhood marked by trauma and loss to the spiral of addiction that left me hallucinating, homeless in my own skin, and sitting in a jail cell at twenty-five, this book follows the long road toward sobriety, healing, and redemption.

Told with honesty, grit, and reflection, this memoir traces the roots of pain that shaped my choices, the rock bottom that forced change, and the twenty years of recovery that followed. It is a story about reclaiming identity, rebuilding trust, and learning to live in stillness after years of chaos.

Along the way, the book includes deeply personal interviews with the friends and family who lived this journey beside me—and my wife, who met me on the other side of addiction. Their voices reveal a truth many people never see; addiction never destroys just one person. It echoes through every heart that tried to love you through it.

My hope is that these pages offer comfort, clarity, and connection. Whether you are someone in recovery, someone who loves an addict, or someone who simply believes in the beauty of becoming, this story was written for you.

Screenplay Adaptation: The Sink in the Litter Box

I am currently developing the screenplay adaptation of the memoir—a story told through the lens of memory, trauma, and truth, structured to reveal how the past and present collide on the path toward healing.

AUTHOR’S NOTE

I wrote this memoir for anyone who has ever felt lost inside their own life—or loved someone they couldn’t save.
My deepest hope is that one day this book reaches rehab centers, treatment programs, and recovery facilities around the world, offering companionship to anyone standing at the beginning of their own climb.
